I like keeping my toilet plunger in the BATHROOM, my parents want it downstairs in the garage, yeah, let me take 30 seconds or so to run downstairs to the garage if the toilet overflows, instead of having it ya know, RIGHT NEXT TO THE OVERFLOWING TOILET!!!

Anyone who doesn't keep it within arm's reach of the toilet is doing it wrong.

Right next to the stick used to break apart poops that are too big to flush down, as is tradition.

It should be in the same room. It doesn't have to be directly beside/behind it, but should be close by.

I can't imagine the reasoning why it'd be stowed away like such unless there's another more problematic toilet or they're ashamed some guest might see it and think they'll look like the toilet clogs regularly.

Once had a cousin clog our toilet and instead of just asking where the plunger was, since it was out sight. Decided to run several houses away to get a plunger instead.

I keep it in the bathroom closet because I never use it. I've been in my apartment almost 2 years and never once clogged the toilet.

I kept it next to the toilet at my previous place when I actually had to use it a lot.
