Well but they didnt have infallible evidence to give me the death penalty, so I would be fine.
Except it doesn't work like the magical world you imagine in your head. Innocent people get sent to death row. People who might be innocent get killed by the state. People who are literally set up by the police and AG get the death penalty.

Would you rather some innocent people die and some guilty people die, or none of either? You CANNOT pick and choose, you aren't the police, AG, or govenor.

In this scenario, the entire world thinks they have infallible evidence. That is good enough to end your life

that's not how it works or how it has ever worked. scores of innocent people have gotten death sentences and there is no such thing as infallible evidence when corruption exists

See but most people that are for the death penalty say there should be 100% certainty.

Like DNA evidence, video, text, audio, something infallible.

There definitely needs to be law reform on death penalty, but not to abolish it but to limit it.
our Justice system is already designed around certainty, its why a jury needs to be unanimous beyond a reasonable doubt.

You know maybe I'm wrong? I don't know much about legal systems. But there's just sometimes they know without a shadow of a doubt and those people honestly deserve worse than death.

Was curious and looked into it:
Studies estimate that between 4-6% of people incarcerated in US prisons are actually innocent. If 5% of individuals are actually innocent, that means 1/20 criminal cases result in a wrongful conviction.

Having a seperate "super duper guilty" standard for the death penalty opens a giant can of worms. Like it inherently implies there is doubt for any serious case that doesn't seek the the death penalty.
