I would forgive them

All I can remember is one instance of someone doing something mean that has stuck with me and if they apologized I would accept I guess but I doubt they even remember what they did or me for that matter

I think it would depend on how bad it was.

like, if I was suffering and dreaded coming to school because of it, then probably not.

if they were just an asshole, and they messed with me from time to time, but that was about it, then I could see myself forgiving them.

Only 2 people bullied me that I didn't become friends with. I would actually fight the bullies so nothing ever lasted long. Today if those 2 showed up I'd just say "all good" and wave them off.

My cousin married a guy who didn't regularly bully me but did give me a few bouts of serious grief during high school. He hand delivered my invite, apologized to me, and told me it would mean a lot to my cousin if I showed up. I had about a hundred reasons aside from him not to go (including a problem with my cousin herself) and never planned to but I told him it was fault anyway. That was like 10 years ago and they're still married. I don't go around that part of my family too often but I still give him the cold shoulder when I do. That guy can stay fucked.

Depends on what it was, and if they were sincere enough. If they were laughing it off, I wouldn't find their apology sincere.

I would need some kind of hard proof they are truly sorry. I don't generally forgive anyone who wrongs me.

I am very much against bullying. I despise bullies.

thought I wasnt personally bullied myself I knew some bullies from school and now theyre grown up and theyre still terrible people who would bully as adults if they could - theyre pretty much psychopaths.

To be honest when I was in 1st grade I bullied this one kid for a year (yes, I know, that was a shit thing to do) and I would make him cry so much his eyelids would get red and puffy. Then we became friends (so weird I know) for 2 years.

I lost track of him for 20+ years and then ran onto him by chance at a mall once. Dude is now 62, athletic as fuck, good looking and very, very, very successful. It was an odd feeling. He was very nice to me (we did become friends after the bullying, after all) and we said hi, chatted for a bit and never met again.

I feel happy for him. I do realize he out-heighted me (6) and he is more successful than me (though I am doing well myself), so he could have turned the tables on me but he didnt - good guy, better than me I guess, though I have evolved and become a much better person

I'll field this one. He's not saying they haven't grown up but a lot of people don't feel much guilt for things they did as a teenager, at least not enough to reach out and apologise years later.

People don't change or "grow". Likewise, so called bullies will never feel things such as guilt or sorrow

I have already forgiven them all even without apologies. Life is too short to live in hate imo.

A few guys that I had big disagreements with are pretty cool with me now. They've even helped me a few times when I needed it.

I'm sorry too. Sorry that I, at 30 years old, realized that most people don't give a shit about you(not "you" specifically) except for your immediate family(and even then.., you can probably argue otherwise)

That said I know full well 20 years old me(who gained somehow a big amount of confidence at that age) would not. I understand people can change. I look back in the past and while I did not actively bully people, I have been an insensitive jerk at time myself.
