I believe they already can but it will never see the light of day until after WW III and further population trimming efforts.

There's been numerous successful studies, especially in mice but even some humans, around lowering caloric intake to extend life greatly.

Hey now, science is a complicated process. And you know what a procedure needs? Test subjects. Rich people aren't going to do this to themselves until they know it works. Our goal is to become one of those guinea pigs once it hits human trials and hope we don't just get cancer.

Eventually, yes. We basically know the mechanics of why we age. From there, all it takes is time and experimentation.

We won't likely be alive when it happens, but someday they'll figure it out.

Even if we can grow every single one of our own organs from labs and transplant them indefinitely, we still can do anything with the brain right? Because once you do anything with it, you're not 'yourself' anymore.

I don't think so. I think you can slow it down, but outside of just replacing organs entirely or even your brain, I don't see how they can full stop just prevent you from dying due to age. I can see some promise in the ai brain USB whatever way people have theorized, but keeping your actual physical body for centuries? Sounds impossible.

I think much like colonization of mars, unless there's some hyper advanced other beings out there who want to share some year 4000 technology, we ain't got a shot at any of these Sci Fi endeavors.
