He predates Cyborg by decades. I think there was an original Golden Age Blue Beetle in the 40s. But he was very different from the guy in this movie

that is interesting.

So cyborg is basically the result of realizing that "steel" (john henry irons) wasn't that popular so they remixed him with blue beetle?

So Blue Beetle started with Dan Garret in the 40s, who was just some dude with a magic scarab that made him bullet proof.

The character was recreated in the 60s with Ted Kord, normal human tech guy, sort of a cross between Batman's gimmick and Spider-Man's tone.

Jaime Reyes was introduced in 06 after Infinite Crisis to replace Kord, who died.

JHI was 90s

Cyborg idk but he's 70s at the latest
