I like the guy actually but wearing a jersey of an athlete you like is always in style. Though of course that Flyers Giroux jersey isn't quite old enough to be old school. I mean, people wear cartoon and comic themed clothes. How often have you seen people wearing Disney or Bat Man stuff? Plenty. I have a few gaming t shirts, and am sewing patches to make gaming themed jackets.
