Halfway through the season. Only 4 episodes remaining including this.

Good episode, starting to build up momentum. The pirates are kinda lame though, I forgot they even existed.

Mm, trying to frame the Mandalorians for Gideon's rescue is pretty sloppy.

Yeah that was a fun "let's smash some pirates" episode, and also thankfully we're seeing some progression in the Armorer's character to be like "okay, we gotta retake Mandalore and we'll probably need to be less silly with our Creed in order to make it happen". Plus some wins for Bo-Katan are nice finally.

i liked the episode even tho the pirates were kinda lame. they barely represented a threat... lol

also, Mandalorians saved Moff Gideon? wut?

and btw, just because Bo Katan spotted some mythical creature makes her the chosen one that will unite all exiled Mandalorians or whatever? i thought that was kinda weird but hey, this is the way i guess... lol

I'm surpised Zeb was in this. I'm glad the pirates were handled quickly. Way too cliche lol. Also, I really like when Carson Teva shows. I hope we see a lot more of him.

As for Bo and the Armorer, I'm getting a bad feeling about all that. Also, I'm assuming the Mandalorians that broke Gideon out are the Death Watch/Bo's crew she was talking about in the first episode. I highly doubt it would be Sabine or something.

I'm not super deep on the star wars lore, but I think that literally is part of mandalorian lore that discovering the mythosaur is supposed to bring a new age to the mandalorian people.

Bo katans hair is real nice in this episode.

Seriously. Bo Katan basically took them down solo with just a few shots. Din barely even attacked the main ship.

Point, but I'm not buying the frame-up line. Especially since Captain Teva was JUST at the covert and there's no motive for them to spring him, since Din, the man who actually assisted in capturing him, is part of that covert.

Methinks Officer Totally-Not-Imperial is pulling a big Yojimbo.

Am I crazy or does it feel like the costumes and sets are getting worse? Maybe it's just because this episode had so many aliens, but that Rodian looked worse than Greedo did 45 years ago.

Also Bo quit the cult quicker than Grogu quit the Jedi.

Welp they needed to get the Mandalorians out of that cave somehow.

This show seems to be grappling between what it was in season 1-2 and what Andor did. Theres the usual Mando heroic one off plotline stuff but then theres the universe expanding side stories too. Imo so far they are mostly pulling it off but with a bit of pacing issues. Like the pirates basically appearing and dying within 2 separate halves of an episode.

Anyway I do think the quality is holding up as long as the payoff works out by the end of the season.

It irks me that Greef Karga is like the only leader guy on Nervarro and he doesnt have any body guards or anything. He just has a couple of useless droids. And in this episode, you see him leading the citizens to evaculations alone, it just looks so weird. He should have at least like 4 guards with him.

I get this feeling in boba fett. (boba fett spoilers)He wants to be a crime lord but his faction consists of himself, the sniper woman and 2 pigmen. Before he took out the compound, they were like at least 30 lackeys in there. And he has 3.

True, it just might be to cause enough confusion for Gideon to get where he needs to go undetected.

That was the point though. His job wasn't to attack the main ship. It was to be a distraction. Which he did.

Yeah, my impression is that Bo basically told a preacher that she saw Jesus Christ himself and he waved at her. That'd be enough to get her to move on her beliefs a little.

I know, my complaint is more how easily the ship was taken down by basically a single fighter. That big ship couldn't survive a few pecks from a much smaller ship. I get it, they took out the engines, but like the whole ship was about as durable as wet paper.

Made the whole scenario feel ridiculous in hindsight. Greef gets threatened, and apparently has absolutely no defenses or fighters at all. Puts out a plea for help from the New Republic which is taken seriously by that one officer who insists it's a true threat. Then he goes out of his way to inform Din, who then rallies the entire Mandalorian crew to go save Navarro... Which was then done in 3 minutes by a single person with a distraction. Like, the resolution undermines everything that happened before that. It was too easy and simple of a problem to have caused such a big commotion before hand.

Feels like any amount of resistance from Navarro would've crumpled the pirates like paper. Instead we dedicate half the episode to them being in crisis mode only for Bo Katan to show up and wipe them off the planet with little to no effort. lol
It really gave me the same sense of poor execution as the Boba Fett bike chase scene, except narratively instead of visually.

To be fair, it makes sense that a bunch of fuckaround pirates could push aruond Navarro and the fuckaround pirates are then almost effortlessly obliterated by an elite strike force of people who have militaristic violence as a religion.

This is how I see it. Cool X-Wing guy didn't even try because he knew he was outgunned. But a couple of mandalorians with a plan and Intel (such as knowing the exact type of cruiser the pirates had) can believably out maneuver them.

There's a reason pirates tend to get obliterated when they go up against any proper military force. They're just bullies with big guns fucking around for profit.

Oh, I forgot to mention that the pirate captain's first mate was dressed like Smee from Peter Pan and that was hilarious.

I know very little about her history because I didn't watch rebels or Clone Wars, but based only on the live action stuff I'm starting to like her.

I don't know anything about her backstory and I thought that was the reason why I didn't like her in this. I guess I just straight up don't like her. She's so blah in every scene she's in.

It is funny how much the Armorer favors Bo over Din.

Din removes his helmet: you are not a Mandalorian.

Armorer tells Bo to remove her helmet: you walk both paths, it's alright.

I know I'm leaving out the fact they both bathed in the living waters and Bo saw the mythosaur.
