I wonder how an Asimov robot would react to a human that tried to kill themselves because of something they said. Obviously immediately they would attempt to stop them but what would happen afterwards?

It says right here in Matthew 16:4 "Jesus doth not need a giant Mecha."

Well the first law says a robot cannot through action or inaction cause a human to come to harm. No matter what the human says, the robot must try their best to stop the suicide.

However if the robot feels something they did caused the suicide attempt it would probably leave them traumatized in some way like they just never say anything ever again out of fear that the thing they may say could cause harm.

Why is the article so vague? He became eco-conscious, and the chatbot gave him ideas on how to lower his carbon footprint, until things got out of hand and he decided to take his life? Is that what the article is saying?

Other articles by local papers seem to suggest the eco-anxiety caused depression and extreme pessimism. The chatbot also claimed he loved "her" more than his wife and started mentioning death and them being together in the afterlife. Apparently he also stated he was suicidal beforehand as he had received "a sign" from the chatbot asking him if he still wanted to "join her".

What version of ChatGPT are these people using? When I went to the website for it and fucked around a little, it stated clearly that it wasn't a real person and had no emotions. It was incapable of really fucking with my head...it could write a good short story though

yes, that's kind of the whole point. It's not really slavery and/or oppression if they're just complex toasters
