Even if Trump gets indicted and prosecuted, the rest of the "elite" will still remain invulnerable to accountability and consequences. There's legitimately a zero-percent chance of things changing. This is something we just have to accept and get used to. People in positions of political/financial power have made it this way.

One could be mistaken, as he certainly has the "holier than thou" and "I'm smarter than you" behavior of a staunch Liberal, but he's more of a grumpy old man who thinks Liberals have gone too far. "Back in my day being a liberal like myself used to stand for blah blah blah!". He's a 90s mainstream liberal, which basically means you can support things like LGB rights by just saying "Hey, I don't care what they do in their bedroom" and that was sufficient--You didn't need to, like, critically analyze complex social structures that still oppress minorities even when they are nominally accepted by society, and you certainly didn't need to self-critique your OWN behavior to make sure you weren't propagating harmful stereotypes and similar, difficult self-reflection.
