The movie was alright, but definitely went too quickly. This DLC is like a longer expanded version of it: it goes way more in depth with Gohan and Trunks's relationship and Trunks's motivation post Gohan and has a pretty good story. Plus you get a bunch of fun moves for Trunks on top of that >_> It's definitely the best DLC so far for Kakarot. The Beerus DLC was fucking nothing but training fights and the Golden Frieza DLC was *okay*, but nothing crazy.

Does it have the dream theater soundtrack from the funimation dub? Dont give a fuck otherwise

Do you get to play as a one-armed Gohan?

I keep hearing this dlc is better than the actual game and does the movie justice

Yep, and it's probably one of the best parts of the DLC too.

idk if I would say that it's better than the main game. It's definitely a more polished and concise experience, but the main game is huge and has tons of fun side stuff to do. The main game is still pretty fun, if a bit repetitive sometimes.

But yeah, it's better than the actual movie it's based on lol. Everything is way more fleshed out. The movie is just too rushed.

The most annoying thing about playing as future Gohan in Xenoverse 2 is that he has two arms but his entire moveset revolves around one arm. It's like they were too lazy to just remove his arm

While on the subject of the History of Trunks: even though I haven't seen that movie in over 20 years, the line "Piccolo was the first to try...and the first to die" pops into my head every so often.

Seeing how easy it was for people to get strong enough to beat Cell and shit, it still blows me away how people like Vegeta, Gohan, and Piccolo all died fighting the weaker versions of the Androids in Trunks' timeline. I know it's just a plot hook kinda thing, but...damn, original timeline Piccolo was kinda stubborn for not just fusing with Kami.

Also why the fuck was Piccolo the 1st one to try? His death literally erased the dragon balls right at the start. He should've been the last one so they could use the dragon balls in the mean time

Well Piccolo also thought it was a good idea that he be wished to Namek to fight the most powerful being in the universe when he should have just sat at home during that saga.

I remember way wya back around that time, that the reason for him having both arms is because of Japanese censorship with missing body parts.

I checked just in case, and Legends did it first, a good half year before Kakarot, but... well its a mobile game, so its probably not known by nearly as many people as kakarot.

Something must have changed, because this wasnt the first future gohan legends got, but it was the first to not have the whole "Chamber of Secrets Boneless Arm" thing going on.

Though i cant say what it was, im atleast glad it exists... because that boneless arm always looked wonky.

....there is also Sagas and Legacy of Goku 2 if you want to count them, but they werent made in Japan, so didnt have to follow the rule.
