Not only is it not banned, VPNs ARE banned. Chinese TikTok is pretty different though. The algorithm shows you very different stuff. The Chinese version of TikTok called Douyin is a full blown propaganda machine that vilifies the West and has a pervasive censorship serving only to protect the reputation of CCP. Strangely, there are next to no moderation when it comes hate speech especially towards Japanese , Korean, African,Jewish and most White people evident in the comment section.
