When I think about the far future of the universe, I get disturbed. Especially if it ends in Heat Desth instead of Big Crunch. If it ends in a Big Crunch, then there is a possibility that someday there might be another Big Bang, and a new universe

If it ends in Heat Death, I feel like everything is just over forever. And I sometimes imagine all the planets in the universe, and asteroids and stuff, still floating around after the last star has vanished. And there is no light in the entire universe.

Given enough time, probably sling shotted out of the solar system/galaxy by another star or big body long long before the sun goes black dwarf.

It is kind of sad if you think about it.

it's already kind of sad when you consider how much space there is compared to the microscopic size of the bubble we live in and the stars look big to us but really it's mostly empty space in every direction.

Only about 0.0000000000000000000042% of the Universe contains any matter.

Whats even more interesting is in about 4 billion years when the sun starts to expand, eating Mercury, Venus, and Earth.

Around that same time the Andromeda Galaxy is expected to collide with the Milky Way, which would be an insane thing to see in the night sky.

Someday Andromeda will be visible with the naked eye in the night sky. Assuming human life exists that long.

So, one, science is leaning towards heat death, which is the most neutral ending. And second, what actually happens to all matter depends on whether or not protons decay. Modern science has no idea if protons decay or not. But if they do, there will be literally nothing, as opposed to theoretically nothing.

But look on the bright side, by the time this is ever an issue, you and all of your descendants will be long gone and won't have to see it.

Well, based on probability, it's entirely likely a new universe randomly forms. In an infinite time, infinite things can happen.

Things like thermodynamics and entropy can make stuff like this pretty predictable. There's only so much energy in a given system and knowing how fast it burns off can tell you how long that system has left to continue. Stars don't make energy, they just expend it so assuming no other energy enters that system the means to calculate the lifespan of that star can be attained.

It's a good thing actually. If there were more matter that means things would be very chaotic. Stuff would be everywhere bouncing and colliding with each other. Life probably wouldn't even exist. The universe is pretty logical.
