I said likely, not must.
And I think the Kirby shot was bad because it seemed clear that Kirby was being genuine about their claim, and there was no reason to doubt them at that time. Not that Kirby was obvious town, but that he was very likely a Vig as claimed through that whole situation. Hence I think it was a bad shot to make at that time.
