I mean you could wear clothes over clothes based on pieces for each body part. Wear your armor and robes at the same time. Enchant rings with attack spells. Summon armies of creatures or undead. Fly over cities raining destruction on them with spells you crafted. Jump miles into the air, or run at flash level speeds. There were so many ways to do things it was amazing in that regard imo.
