Graveyards take up so much space. Sometimes I think corpses should be taken out to remote wilderness areas and just left for the elements and wildlife to clean up.

No it is imperative that we have a giant grid of land where every inanimate husk gets its own hole and fancy rock with writing on it.

Bring back sky burials.

Nature can clean up a body pretty fast. Maybe once in a while people would go out there and pick up all the bones. But the flesh would be gone very fast

some societies did that, iirc, but now a problem might be how we preserve dead bodies before it's time to put them to rest, and I dunno if there's a safe way to do that and have it so animals can eat them and be okay.

Alternatively, just don't use preservatives to preserve a corpse that you're gonna cut open and leave in a meadow.

but I mean, let's say I put I wanted something like that to happen in my will, but I was found dead at home.

they'd still most likely perform some kinda autopsy and keep the body for a bit to determine how I died.
