This happened to me recently.

I suddenly remembered that snipers wear eyeshadow (or some kind of makeup) when thinking about something and went to Google it, got zero results. It was like the entire idea was just removed from the internet. This has happened with other stuff, but biggest difference I had ever seen.

A load of cool flash games. For instance there was one called Card Monsters which I discovered has since been replaced with a different version.

There was a website called impromanga where people signed up to manga projects and each drew a few pages and passed it on to the next person..this was back in prehistory like 2000 I think? Some of the stories were a lot of fun. Website is long gone.

I can't find anything about these candies back in the early 2000s called Numbz. I just found reddits of others stumped that they left no imprint as well.

for videos i can't think of any atm. i've rediscovered some niche stuff just because i had them bookmarked from years back with the titles intact so just a search away from finding a mirror (in worse quality ofc). a recent example is a parkour video that was actually deleted by the owner. only had a few thousand views and shared on 3run forum like a decade ago. found it reuploaded on some chinese website surprisingly lol.

So there was one thing I was thinking of, that I found a few minutes before I made this thread. It's something I probably shouldn't share. However, I do have another one.

In Dragon Quest 5, you can recruit monsters, some more easily than others. Liquid Metal Slimes are hard not only because they have a high recruitment rate, but because they tend to run away. Some guy made a journal or something, documenting their attempts. I remember them mentioning a few things in particular. One, they used Poison Needles. Two, they had to make sure the LMS was the last monster killed, if there were other recruitable monsters in the battle. Three, they may have been level 99 by the time they got it. Four, they were sort of doing some recruiting out of habit after already having gotten one, and then they got a 2nd, even though the chances of that were halved.

I was looking for something else, and I refound a site I hadn't been to in a while. For a second, I had a vain hope that I'd found what website I was looking for, because there were some stories on there that I remember reading around the same time as the DQV thing. But it wasn't there, no luck.
