Exercising freedom of expression. Silently praying. Having the wrong opinion. Being the wrong race. Calling someone 'dude'.

lol Freedom of expression is almost definitely about the private actions of some idiots on twitter trying to constantly cancel people for no reason. Meanwhile actual attacks on freedom of expression...

https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/politics-news/florida-bill-require-bloggers-write-governor-legislators-register-stat-rcna73191

But I guess fascist bills aren't a problem, just some trolls on twitter are and somehow Trump is going to stop that? Which would involve violating the first amendment and violating freedom of expression...

You know you're trolling about thinking they will protect wrong opinions when they're literally passing bills like this. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stop_WOKE_Act

The bit about race is just a dog whistle right? Followed by what I presume to be transphobia?

Isn't the GOP trying to make freedom of expression a crime by enacting laws against transgender people?
No. They're not.

Like you literally just spelled out the process by which money is used to hush somebody.
So you don't know what he was being investigated for either.

You find out ahead of time what they expect it to cost, then when they give you the bill at the end you look for explanations for any discrepancies between that and the quote so you don't get ripped off by a roofer who billed his new car stereo to you.
Right. So the roofer quotes me $800. I don't need to know how that breaks down regarding what each nail cost or what the expense was for every swing of the hammer.

This is especially true when you're working with something like campaign funds that have strict rules around what they can and cannot be used for.
Right. So when Trump was presented a bill for legal fees I imagine it stated something to effect of total spent on filing documents, total spent on travel costs, total spent on researching past rulings, total hourly for court appearances, maybe a personal stipend, and such. Then when reviewing the bill the payment to the porn star was classified as one of those and the amount didn't look suspicious next to the other amounts.

At the absolute best, you're painting Trump as somebody too financially incompetent to be allowed access to campaign funds (let alone a federal budget), which is only marginally better than the apparent reality that he's wilfully misusing them for corrupt self-interests.
Then we're in agreement. Trump is a better choice than Biden.

And how is Trump protecting you from being arrested for any of those things?
By being the person that the progressives focus on instead.

adjl posted...
For that matter, what makes you believe that there's a genuine risk of being arrested for any of those things?
Everything I listed are actual things people have been arrested for in the past 5 years. Did you not get the references to the various news stories?

Yes, I agree. Many of the bannings on social media were for no reason. Trump being a victim of it himself makes it something I expect him to address.

BTW did you hear about the ASU students that wanted someone removed from a study area because they were wearing the wrong hat, the wrong shirt, had a cup from the wrong restaurant, the wrong sticker on their laptop, and were white?

According to your own link...

"If a blogger posts to a blog about an elected state officer and receives, or will receive, compensation for that post, the blogger must register"

So it's not their own expression. They're being paid to promote a political message. Which might mean that it falls under the FCC equal opportunities rule. Also I don't see how Trump is directly involved with the bill.

According to your own link that is...

"a Floridastate law which regulates the content of instruction and training in schools and workplaces. Among other provisions, it prohibits instruction that individuals share responsibility for others' past actions by virtue of their race, sex or national origin."

Looks like it's aimed at ending racism and sexism. Also I don't see how Trump is directly involved with the bill.

No, it's addressing the issue of racial prejudice exactly as it says. Nor do I see anything mentioned in the link you posted regarding trans people.
