I would suck at pressuring someone to buy a product.

Yeah I would not be good at it. In addition to trying to pressure people into buying shit, I would feel like I have to be on ALL the time

A friend of mine from high school is insanely good at it. He did one of those college painting entrepreneur things and I watched him in action selling a new coat of paint to complete strangers in their driveways. It was incredible. He sells medical equipment now.

People who are good at it make insane money, I can't do it at all

I did indirect sales of telephones. Indirect means that you're not face-to-face with the customer. I interacted with customers only via e-mail and telephone

I didn't pressure people to buy the telephones. I informed them of the telephone's abilities and price, and left the decision to the customer. I liked the job. I would do it again. It helped that most of my customers were nice, unlike the job that I had previously, where I did customer service for stupid assholes

Some sort of distance relative of a friend's girlfriend is trying hard to get me to buy life insurance. She told me to take out my 401k and invest into something she called an Index Life Insurance Fund. She says it has the best returns in the world right now averaging at 12 percent but her company always does higher than the average she claims.
