thanks! i meant to say you did some really cool jab lock combo in one of our games but i forgot to mention it at the time.

ive used wario a couple times in the arenas, but my wario sucks lol. my kirby usage looks high too, but that's because he was the first character i got comfortable with when i first bought the game.

that's an interesting question, did you guys have a comfort character you used to unlock the characters and get used to the game?

Banjo, he was out when I got the game and I used him a lot for the World of Light campaign. DLC characters dont need to be unlocked like the main cast. Kirby and Mario are the first two they give you, I think.

mine came with plant and all of the smash 64 characters. i didn't realize you played the game so late!

My brothers had already unlocked some characters before I touched Ulitmate. I wasn't even aware Ultimate was a thing until about a month before release. Anyways I skipped all of Smash 4 and Smash 3DS and I ended up sticking with Inkling since the character was already unlocked and I like their unique design and animations even if I wanted to use Lucario since that was my Barwl main.

Oh yeah, I remember you said you got plant and no other DLC quite a while ago. Kirby is a pretty good pick to start with, dont blame you there. There are obviously other great characters to start with with overall better competitive rankings like Fox and Pikachu, but I really dont think Kirby is too bad.

You should be careful with dash attack btw pojr. I know it's all DK wants in life after grab since it true combos into bair at every percent but it's -14 on shield and so is very shield grabbable, even by the likes of characters like Cloud.

That last match was a little too laggy for me so it's a good ending point. GGs.

I see what you were talking about when you said Mario and ZSS have been doing the double up air from ledge since the game released. They get to do it for free while keeping their double jump while Falcon has to use his, also the inputs aren't tight at all while Falcon only has a couple frames of leniency. People have probably been spamming this against me all along without me realizing. I'm giving Mario and ZSS my full respect at the ledge in bracket from now on lol. Falcon's version is a joke in comparison

Ah that makes sense. I didn't realize Falcon had tight frames/input with them. But yeah, ZSS and Mario, and I see Bayo's do it with ABK/Witch Twist, can get like full ladders off the ledge which is pretty cool. Usually I'll get like up air, up air, bair, but on a stage like BF you can sometimes take them off the top. Definitely something you have to respect. Falcon can get good punishes too, like you said it's just way harder.

With ZSS though, up air isn't super disjointed, so it will usually get beat out by another move which means I no longer have a jump at ledge if I try and do this input. It can be worthwhile to try and ledge trap aggressively, just need to be aware.

There's definitely still a risk with ZSS but it's not comparable to Falcon since she has flip kick
