I mean, we don't know for sure what happens to the mind after death.

Logically, since everything about you is created by your brain, and once your brain shuts off, that's it, but at the same time, there could be forces beyond our current comprehension at work that come into play after the death of one's body.

I believe that when we die our life resets and we start from the beginning again in an alternate timeline. Choices you make each time might differ or be the same, but they determine how your life will shape out before you die and reset all over again.

When you encounter a situation that you have experienced before in a different timeline, that's when you get deja vu even though you haven't experienced it in the current timeline.

Even that article notes that most of it is speculative at this point in time.

Though even if they can upload your mind, would it also upload your consciousness or just create a copy of your memories and personality? If it's the latter, then it's not really "you" being uploaded.
