there are rumors that MGS3 might get a remake.

if it turns out to be true, then - on one hand, cool, depending on its quality, but on the other, I doubt it'll be a multi-project thing unless if really successful.

I thought the rumor was that Metal Gear Solid 1 was going to be the remake?

I've heard both, but I'm hearing more about MGS3 more often.

Probably a remaster port of MGSV if Konami is willing to revive it.

They have made loads. Pachinko is super popular in Japan and MGS is extremely popular as a story vessel for gambling.

Was really hoping for remakes starting with 1 and then up to 4. I'd like to get PS5 versions of all 4 games at least. I never actually beat the first game and I don't have any major way of finding the games. I wish they'd at least re-release the gamecube game on Switch or something.
