Or how about Neanderthals, should we save them? How about Homo floresiensis? I think someone said it well on another website: The moral problem is not whether it is moral to cause or not cause a predictable outcome; the moral problem is whether it is moral to meddle with things when the outcome is absolutely unpredictable. The problem isn't whether you should play god or not; the problem is whether you should use god-like powers when you haven't got a clue what you are doing.
