What does the foil do?

Supposed to cook everything a little more evenly cause the heat and shit bounces off the foil and it traps the juices. Never seen someone do it for dogs in a fryer.

Yea been doing this for a while, it tastes the same as flame grilling it, maybe slightly inferior to charcoal grilling.

Hmm have you thought about doing likea batter and actually air frying a hot dog?

Like flour, then egg, then panko or breadcrumbs? so kinda like a corndog

I get Nathan's when they are BOGO, but you should try Beef Ball Park bun lengths. They are very similar but are not as expensive.

I like Ziegler jumbos for non-beef but if all you like are Nathan's then you'll probably like Beef Ball Parks. Those and Hebrew National but those are just as expensive as Nathan's.

I have a George Foreman grill that I do hotdogs on when it is too cold to grill outside. It is pretty much the only thing I cook on it but hamburgers are surprisingly good on it too
