as a teacher, I honestly do see this as practical for a safety shelter in the case of an emergency. It could also be a breakout room, a time-out room, storage, and it's a giant white board which I appreciate as a teacher. But it is not a replacement for actual solutions for gun violence. It's also obviously going to be expensive to implement on any large scale, so you bet that rich schools would get them and poor schools will continue to be the nourishment for our dystopic late capitalist society. --- Rainbow Dashing: "it's just star wars" AutumnEspirit: *kissu* ... It seems like that would be enough to deter any shooter trying to get into a classroom. --- https://i.imgur.com/EX6Md7k.gif https://i.imgur.com/ygAzHKB.mp4 https://i.imgur.com/c84omp7.gif https://i.imgur.com/Hj9RrC6.mp4 ... ThisIsAKnoife posted... Dystopian afOkay? Schools can't go and make owning guns illegal or make them harder to get a hold of unfortunately. I'm happy to see schools do what is within their power to protect kids from being shot to death at school. We need to get lawmakers to actually address the gun issues. --- http://img826.imageshack.us/img826/8131/flame201010170949481638.jpg http://img705.imageshack.us/img705/5517/cateyes.gif Rams: 7-9 ... If it functions well as a safe place for severe weather than that's actually a good enough reason to implement this tbh. I'm not sure about active shooter though Imagine someone bringing explosives in with all the kids in those things. They'd be sitting ducks ... Copied to Clipboard!

They already have those windows that can only open a few inches AND come with locks so you cant even open them from the outside.
