ye, i mean if you had to choose one would you rather work at like a nursing home or a day care or something for really young kids?

I'm a high school English teacher, and I manage a summer camp in CA in the summer.

I would rather deal with teenagers and children than adults 90% of the time.

Years and years of retail have taught me how awful old people are. Little kids suck too but I think Id rather deal with them than entitled piece of shit old people.

Easy, Id rather take care of small children.

Old people are nasty. At least kids are small and make small messes on themselves and dont smell nearly as bad as old people can

Depends on how young, I guess. I worked in preschools before so I could definitely do that. I dont know if Id cherish the idea of being in charge of a bunch of infants though.

I've done both. I still prefer caring for young kids.

The mental and physical toll it takes caring for a really old person is too much for me.

I don't think I've got the patience or correct temperament for that sort of work. I'm also not strong enough to lift a fully grown person that needs help if they don't have use of their limbs by myself.

Just because I've babysat my cousins a few times, and raised my own kid, doesn't qualify me for a daycare job either.

Ive worked at schools and summer camps before, but Ive also helped taken care of older people as well. Taking care of kids can be gross and annoying and loud, but taking cake of older people can be outright depressing depending on their circumstances. Like Commonstar said theres a big emotional and physical toll that can become overwhelming, and I can honestly say I cant handle it anymore.
