Yea I watched that last night. I literally never heard about that plus all my dumb time on the internet I never heard about an actual portable NES either get outta here.

The ppl who made it even legit asked if they could produce it (To Nintendo). The battery life had to of sucked though. Just look at the Game Gear or probably the Nomad.

The video explains it but the reason Nintendo said no to this was because they were selling the Game Boy which was lower powered, cheaper to make/produce, and releasing a portable based on the NES would have confused the general idiot consumer population.

I know Turbo graphx had their Turbo thing. I forget but Nintendo had a good reason I think. The Gameboy was selling like hot food and then there would be now a portable nes? Why buy a nes console or Gameboy then hehe

Yeah, it detailed the magazines criticizing Nintendo for passing on it, but the reason why they passed on it was sensible. The console was still selling like crazy. It would make more sense to sell it in like 1993 or something, but by then, who really cared about the NES?
