One was a fever dream where I was in some twisted carnival with bloody hellish attractions.

Probably the creepiest one was this Twilight Zone like dream where I was being chased by these guys who looked like they were agents from The Matrix who kept showing up in places they couldn't be and kept getting closer. It was because I was dead and they were mopping up a straggler.

It's not really unsettling to anyone else, but I had a dream when I was really young that still fucks me up a bit. It was just the grocery store my parents would shop at. I was on the other side of the parking lot, near the road, and the entire parking lot would just get steeper and steeper as I walked towards it until I just fell.

I still get a little unsettled whenever I walk really steep concrete inclines. Which is luckily rare.

I can't really remember but it's usually weird non sensical stuff.

I had one dream where I was driving home from college.

While I was on the highway, I noticed I needed gas and pulled off onto the next exit into a small town. There, I noticed that there was nobody at any of the buildings, not even the gas station I had pulled into.

So I drove a little further into town to find a working gas station. I found a gas station in a strip mall... where the entire population of the town was in line for one of the stores. After getting gas, I asked the clerk why everyone was in line; to which he said that it was a doctor's office that was offering free (and very good) doctor's checkups.

After hearing this, and because dreams have their own logic, I got in line for the doctor's clinic. After waiting, I got inside and was asked to strip and lay down on a conveyor belt.

As soon as I did, clamps came up from the conveyor belt, covering my wrists and ankles... locking me onto the conveyor belt.

It turned out that the doctor's office was not giving exams, but instead had a machine that was dismembering everyone that got on the conveyor belt.

And I dreamt through the entire dismemberment process, from my arms first... to my legs second... to my head third. I only woke up when my head was cut from my torso.

I had a dream once where someone broke my back and I couldn't move and I was screaming. I woke up not being able to move for a few seconds.

i had a dream where i was basically about to be executed and they were pointing a gun in my face; i closed my eyes to blink in the dream and when i opened them i was looking at my wall. like i didn't *wake up*, there was no transition, i was just fully awake suddenly

My mom used to have a picture in her room of 3 women. I used to have a regular recurring dream about them.

It would always start with a credit sequence, and then I'd be in the living room of our apartment. Then I'd hear whispering and after a while the women would come into the living room and drag me into the picture. I usually woke up when they did that.

One time I dreamed all the way to being in the picture and I was just playing with Legos while they watched TV on the couch.

This is a coincidence cause today I had a horrific and disgusting dream I don't why.

When I got sick as a kid, I'd have this recurring dream where I was in some kind of desert at twilight and no matter where I went, I would find nothing but the wasteland of the desert, and in fact it literally felt as if the desert was being stretched out further the more I travelled. Very occasionally, I would end up at the start where a rest stop was, but after that it was back to aimless wandering.

I also remember having a nightmare about a "scary 0" (as in, the number).

This one was from my childhood, I was in my grandma's house and my aunt was there, I said to her I love you, not! Then her head fell off and she chased me around the house.

Not necessarily unsettling as much as the single most annoying fucking thing to ever occur in the entirety of existence:

the dreams where you wake up in your own bed, in your own life, exactly when you're supposed to, and you go about doing your entire day just as normal then right around the time you go to bed or something BAM.

Your alarm goes off, and you realize it was a dream. Now you have to go actually start your day.

Monkey puppet controlling my hand playing the piano was a nightmare I had as a child. Nowadays I never have nightmares. Just weird dreams

I was in my room lying in my bed. I heard whispering coming from outside the room. A girl came in and started screaming in terror when she saw me. I pulled the covers over me and the screaming stopped and she left the room. A couple of other girls came in, also whispering. I pulled down the covers a bit and they saw me and started screaming. This repeated a few times until a dude came in, saw me, started yelling and charged towards me to stomp me out.

I regularly have a dream where for some reason, I have to beat the shit out of my dad.

He's been dead 10 years.

It's fucking depressing.

When I was like 9-10 my family moved into my grandparent's house and I had a recurring nightmare. The dream would always start with me waking up in the room I was in, and then the door out to the hallway would slam shut, then the sliding shutter doors of the closet would come open and a big black mass would pour out of it.

I had the dream constantly, like I dunno how many times. It got to the point where it started becoming sort of lucid and my brain would recognize I was in a dream because something about the dream version of the bedroom would be off. I specifically remember there being posters on the wall that were not actually there. At that point I would attempt to run out of the room but the door caught me basically every time. At that point I would hit my head on something in the dream and it would generally wake me up.

One time I actually managed to get out of the room. I think it was literally the only time I ever managed to do so. I ran out down the hallway and into the kitchen. My parents and grandparents were out there sitting at the kitchen table mid meal but they weren't eating, they just hand their hands on the table and they were all just staring at me. This scared the hell out of me and I bolted out the door and into the woods outside, where I woke up after getting a ways from the house.

Was really happy when I moved out of that place. I don't believe in ghosts but I did back then because I literally had the nightmare basically every other night when I lived there and as soon as we moved out I never had it again.

When I get really sleepy, or am half awake I'll sometimes have trouble moving, kinda like sleep paralysis.

I was having a dream that was happening while my room had caught on fire. I was screaming for help, but no one was here. By the time I got to the floor, I had just barely succumbed to the smoke and passed out, with no one here to help me, and no firefighters on the way.

Luckily by then I realized I was dreaming, and forced myself awake.

I had to help Jesus buy a pair of shoes by the end of the day to save the world, but we ended up playing boardgames in a tacobell until the apocalypse.

Dreams are weird.

I used to have lots of recurring nightmares. Plenty of them were unsettling, but I think the worst ones involved me and mom being murdered.

First one was when I was a kid. Had it maybe 1-2 times a month for a couple of years. In it I found a hidden staircase to an unknown basement. A creature comes out and starts attacking everyone. Me and mom run away, but get cornered at a cliff. It usually shoves her off and drags me away as I wake up. Sometimes it'd be a little different, with it grabbing mom and shoving me off the cliff as I wake up.

Another was similar, but I was older and it was a more realistic situation. With me and mom out for a ride and we pull over to stretch our legs. Then someone else pulls over at the same time and pulls a gun on us. We do as he says until he just gets annoyed. Then he shoots mom and takes our car and his car keys with him. I'm left stranded in the middle of nowhere trying to save her. Like the previous one, sometimes it's switch things up, and he'd shoot me in the gut and leave mom stranded trying to save me.

Thankfully haven't had ones like that in a long time.
