If there's one thing I've learned is that consumers love monopolies. So I say let Microsoft buy Activision and I hope they start charging $100+ per game and they barely work.

Lets not forget Microsoft was planning to make always-on internet mandatory on their console until they got a lot of backlash and realized Sony would not do that

So yeah, rooting for Sony to win, but also rooting for no one to ever merge massive game companies again as it's fucking terrible for the industry IMO.

They act like they are entitled to have every game on their platform and cry foul when they are at risk of losing a game yet they actively strongarm and moneyhat developers and publishers to keep their games off of other platforms.

Hopefully Microsoft breaks the deal and just stick to COD on Xbox, Switch and PC if the merger happen.

That is not the same. Microsoft isnt crying to regulators when Sony makes games exclusive. Its part of the business.

Paying companies to put a game on game pass is in no way the same as paying companies to not release a game on other platforms
