Feels like they were too busy focusing on VR 2.0 and ps4 style console exclusives, and were not prepared at all for the shift in the industry that game pass is causing. Now the only thing they can do is try to block MS while they play catch up. I'm not sure how much of the positive online discourse about game pass actually translates to market share though. I know a fair few people who bought a PS5 and only one person who bought a new Xbox, or two if you include me. Sony hasn't been worried about Xbox since the 360, and rightfully so.
