Beer sucks.

I was drinking about 200 oz of beer almost every day at one point before I started to focus on weight loss. I would generally get eight 25oz glasses of beer at the bar. I still drink beer, but I only try to get one or two tops and focus on tequila soda more.

Full blown? Eh probably six a day/dailyand sure you are getting there, but I chose eight because yea that's when the damage probably is going to start.

Wut a beer a day keeps the doctor away. But seriously I was wondering if tc meant daily or say you just decide to go all ham a few days a week.

Thats pretty impressive.

Isn't having beer every day enough to make you an alcoholic regardless of amount?
That's like saying how many cigarettes a day makes you a smoker.

It was over a long period of time. Like I would get to the bar around 3pm and be there until 9 or 10pm.

Semantics but smoker is someone who smokes, alcoholic is someone who has a debilitating relationship with drinking

i drink like 3-4 one day a week and i personally consider that a big problem. if you were even drinking one daily i would consider than alcoholism

I used to drink 8 12oz. cans a day. I had no problem quitting, though.

I wouldn't consider 1 daily alcoholism. Sure my family would, but my family also thinks you can't have a girl stay over under any circumstance.

This lady at my work literally told many many years ago she would drink a beer every night and she was always so happy and way too willing to help customers the next day. She certainly wasn't being "held down or crippled by it." But I am pretty much done posting here at least. I don't really want to just keep talking about this. I am gaming some and just seeing what the haps are here.

Obviously alcohol can be really damaging and should be done more responsibly but uhhh.

All of them.
If you run out of beer, every day, you probably have a problem.

I had one or two a day for a couple decades (occasionally more socially or at event), but it definitely was daily. Knowing it wasn't healthy, I did Dry January, and since then I have beer like 3 days a week. I made this switch with no side effects and no cravings, so no, that is not alcoholism. You can have an unhealthy relationship with alcohol without it being alcoholism.

OK since it is daily, I'll say more than 4 actually and you are certainly on your way there in some level. There are different stages of it.

Though it depends on the alcoholic percent too ipas can be a lot stronger than say your low cal beer. Which I guess who drinks a lot of Michelob Ultra anyway *shrugs* OK now I am done.

Pretty much this. I drink a lot, but I only drink in social situations (bars, BBQs etc.). Even if I drink a lot in those situations, I don't even keep alcohol in my house. The only time I ever have alcohol at my house is if I'm hosting a BBQ, but we always do a bring your own alcohol situation and I make everyone take it home with them after.

I feel like being an alcoholic is more about people relying on it all the time even when no one else is around like the first thing you do when you wake up is drink type of situation.

I drink 6-12 a day but I'm a pure alcoholic.

I'd say anything more than 1 daily.
