Yes because I love cats and it hurts like hell when they pass but on the flip side we've taken in a lot of rescue cats that we otherwise wouldn't have had we not lost older ones. Our two ginger boys we have now were rescue cats in a right state and I have no doubt had we not taken them in they'd have been put down. In a weird way I do also think pets are a way for kids to be introduced to the idea of death and to not take things for granted. We lost a few cats growing up and it sucks ass but it helps build some resilience when it comes to humans dying in a fucked up way. <cite>SHRIKE posted [p:971906876] in Do you wis...
