I hear stories of a more simple time, where person A meets random person B at some outing at the big apple. Not considering anything other than the company of each otherno real concern in looks, status, or moneythey fall in love and get married happily ever after.

Forward the time to today:
IE. Person A has to be 6 feet and they need a higher paying job to date me (because look at me I'm so pretty with my billion followers). Person B has leverage, as the ratio of A group to B group is significantly higher in the dating scene. If person B wanted to, they could be picky and reject advances until they find someone worthy, resulting in excess supply of group As. Where does that leave the people in that group? They're fending off for the left over Bs in a battle of onlyfans subscription, act of simping by buying things on their amazon list, and even courting methods that cross the line into sugar babying.

So overweight, uneducated people like me, have no option but to believe the left over Bs are only with them because they couldn't find an A category male that fit their criteria. That's not a relationship based on real intimacy. Where is the genuineness of love that our older generations experienced? Does it even exist now?

Dunno, I've never dated in the traditional sense. I meet people through work, school, and interest activities and it has progressed naturally into relationships.

This sounds like incel crap though. Be yourself and get out there, if you think yourself is something nobody would ever be interested in think of a version of yourself that you would like to be that is and be that guy. Or don't. A relationship is not a measure of your worth as a human.

Marriages back then weren't some rainbows and sunshine of true love. Many women were forced to get married, because society back then didn't treat them as an individual person. Women had a much harder time getting jobs that allowed them to support themselves and it was considered impossible for a married women to be raped by her husband.

Let's not romanticize a time where women had very little rights.
