2 is basically a requirement for me. 1 is just never enough for my neck support, especially as a side sleeper

I have two on my bed but I only use one at a time. I flip and swap them from night to night so the surface my face is on stays relatively fresh.

I sleep on my stomach. I have no use for any pillow.

I'm a 6'2" 220lb weight lifter and a registered nurse. I'm not flat and I prefer to lay on my side. I need body pillows tucked around me so I can hug one to keep my head from being scrunched up between my shoulders and my bicep is not fighting with my chest. Sometimes a long body pillow behind me helps a lot. To pillow tucked between the knees while laying on your side can also help alleviate hip pain and separate sore knees.

It's all rudimentary body positioning you learn in nursing. Years of helping cranky medicated recovering dementia patients sleep like babies taught me plenty of how to rest at home.

One memory foam pillow is all I need.
