Since I'm not buying a car or house anytime soon, I abuse my high FICO score to get sign on bonuses from credit cards when I need to make a big purchase, like a mattress. Then I keep those cards open to have a high available line of credit and making my utilization small, helping my credit score which will usually get me insta approved for a new card.
