MaxEffingBemis 02/23/23 9:26:17 AM #1:	Incredible game. The way they tied the first and second game together is wild. The catalyst that destroyed and rebuilt the universe created the worlds of XC1 and XC2 and they take place at the same time, and the guy that did it was split into two and recreated those worlds. Apparently XC3 ties the two games together even further. The villains in this game were also great. I liked how they introduced the main villain and he was the main villain the entire game. Amalthus becoming a secondary (tertiary?) antagonist halfway through the game was also good. Wonderful, engaging story. Obv has its flaws like the field skills system. Especially having story progress locked behind field skills was stupid. Malos motivation was weak. Story takes a while to get going. Gameplay gets bloated and lack of explanations. Jupiter 02/23/23 11:29:55 AM #4:	I just beat it a month or two ago after starting a playthrough back in like 2018 or 2019 lol. I dropped it maybe 3-5 hours in after I decided to play some quicker games first. Beat XB1 last fall or winter then came back to this on a new playthrough. Man, did I feel like this game dragged on FOREVER. I like the characters in XC2 more than XC1, but damn everything else sucked. I think the combat was way slower in XC2. And they stupidly removed QOL features. I should be able to see all targets related to subquests on the map even if that subquest isn't set to my current. Although to be fair, I don't know if that was a thing with the original XC1 like it was with the Definitive Edition. Torna the Golden Country was also a fantastic prequel and better than the main game imo. 3 has no gacha thankfully, its antagonists are pretty meh compared to the first two, but I liked it a bunch. I also hated the combat system at first, because it's extremely slow paced at first. When he was awoken, he saw that Amalthus hated the world, so he felt his purpose for being awakened by him was to destroy the world. It ended up becoming instinct and over hundreds of years after being defeated by the other Aegis (Mythra) he developed human emotion and wondered if it really was his purpose in life. Graphically Xeno 3 absolutely is the best, but as for style there is a lot of personal preference that can lead to different interpretations. Anyways, Xeno 2 is amazing.
