I'm surprised that they brought back UMvC3. Thought they were moving on from that series, but I guess it's a similar situation as with Melee vs. Brawl, where the newer entry was a flop there, and fan demand brought back the earlier, more popular game instead.

On another note, it's disappointing to me that Smash Ultimate only got one EVO showing, in 2019, with the pandemic and other behind-the-scenes politics preventing it from coming back afterwards (especially now that the roster is finished).

UNI is super dead probably until it gets a proper sequel, especially given that it's still on delay netcode.

Much more interested in the Granblue Versus Rising pre-EVO tourney than any of these games tbh

Man, I don't know what I think of this.
Back when they had both USF4 and UMVC3 at EVO was the best but my gut instinct is telling me not to raise my hopes for this to be anything like that.

SF6 is gonna be hype AF
Tekken 7 is gonna be really good
Strive is probs gonna be good
Marvel 3 is gonna be great, but it depends on who's in it + characters

Melty... I only watched a little but it seemed alright
KoF... Didn't see it last year but I'm sure it's fine

MK11 is whatever
DBZF is boring as fuck, worst game on the list

No DNF is weird, p much dead. I bet from now on every game knows to show up to EVO witha trailer or content update, or you get forgotten.

Skullgirls was actually p hype last year, I'd rather it take over DBZF

Also Top 6 is fucking lame. The reason they go into overtime is because these tourneys have terrible pacing and countless ads. A 8 player double elim should not take 3 fucking hours

Literally the games are all on the same console. The next players should be in position for their turn by the time the current one is finishing.
