If only there were an organization within the state willing and capable enough to provide prenatal care that could teach people these things.

I thought it transmits on the way out. Like I remember learning that some babies are born blind because they contract herpes from their mom since they go out headfirst.

Depending on their job, time away from work means lost income, while unreliable transportation might cause a patient to miss appointments. And many pregnant Mississippians have to wait weeks before their first prenatal visit; last year, it took about a month on average for applicants to be approved for a public health insurance program through Medicaid that covers most pregnancies in the state.

Sounds about right from I saw there. My grandmother can't even get Amazon packages sent to her even though she lives 5 miles from an interstate because it's the 1800s down there

I'm originally from the midwest but lived in Mississippi for a large portion of my childhood. It 100% is a shit state.

It is, but if there was 1 case, now there is 9, it might only be 8, which is still awful, but maybe not as high as 900% makes it sound like

Glad someone thought of what action needs to be taken. Mostly likely less funding caused this.

So instead of paying qualified teachers/medical professionals we are going to pay functionaries to punish the mothers.

Post title should be M underfunded prenatal and see the result.,
