I like Texas whiskeys honestly. Balcones, Yellow Rose. Just drink good local whiskey made near you. Sazerac Rye is also fantastic

As a Texan, Texas whiskeys are generally flavorless like Canadian whiskeys or way too sweet.

To the poor people whiskey point, whiskey isn't really a liquor that has a massive jump in quality from mid-point to high-point. It's why so many "experts" online cite midshelf stuff like Wild Turkey 101 as their daily drinker. The $20-$40 range for whiskeys is generally much higher quality than other liquors. You're gonna struggle to find more than one or two decent sipping tequilas in that range, for instance.

Ya idk what youre talking about, the Texas whiskeys I listed are very well regarded. Balcones has a very good reputation for making great liquor, and has won a good number of awards.

I do agree Canadian whiskey sucks tho

Barf, used to binge drink it because higher ABV and alcoholic. Now the thought of it makes me sick.

Tastes awful in general.

$20 for a handle is not mid range lmao. Wild Turkey is def bottom shelf whiskey. Mid range is like$40-$60 typically.

What are you talking about? Wild Turkey 101 is $22 for a liter, not a handle.
