When I find out that Roxas didnt exist anymore and no one remembered him. Put me in a weird funk for a few days as a high schooler. I guess now he has a good ending but damn him and Aqua got dealt shitty cards

My first playthrough I remember having no patience for the Roxas tutorial and just wanting to play as Sora the entire time. Then the "Looks like my summer vacation's... over" line hit me hard and I spent the rest of the run missing him.

And he's been my favorite character in the series ever since lmao

Yeah that scene also really got me down in the dumps, the summer vacation is over line. The very next day too I got into a physical altercation with a kid in middle school over it too. He was doing the usual talking shit about the intro because of how boring it was, I said something like "I can see that but the end was heartbreaking", he replied with something like "good fuck roxas I am glad that happened to him for makin me go through that intro" and I tackled him. Even with a dumb child brain I knew better than to resort to that and if it wasn't such a fresh wound I wouldn't have but come on I was feelin real bad about a video game character that day

Roxas is one of the better characters in the series, hope that continues

And when sora starts tearing up when he says goodbye to the twilight gang because Roxas was, I cry every time.

358/2 days is my favorite KH even if the gameplay was meh.

Yeah that part hits hard as well as the summer vacation line. Just felt like it was so unfair to Roxas as a kid. Didnt play the game for a while after all that from just feeling bummed

Not only did I like him a lot and sometimes more, but 358/2 days could have benefited from a console upgrade and a little tweaking in gameplay/progression to be really fun. They had a golden opportunities to make a co-op/ multi-player game with the organization 13. And I think they wanted to do another crisis core but it wasn't as good as crisis core, just a little tweaking could improve that

Yeah, the emotional beats of KH2 were pretty good when they wanted them to be. Don't really see that in the series anymore. Roxas was real relatable, and his ending tragic. KH3 undoing it kinda puts a sour taste in my mouth, but mainly due to how poorly it was executed.

Honestly don't see it being the case, unfortunately. Nomura's recently-ish said something along the lines of how most of the current main cast isn't really going to be super involved in the next arc.

I dont mind the ending we got, him and namine finally being "whole" inside sora and Kairi has a sort of bittersweet feel to it
