Its certainly arguable. HoD benefitted from also having a bigger budget than GOTs first season. House of the dragon season 1 is a better season 1 Game of thrones season 1 is the better season HotD is easier to follow and doesnt overwhelm the viewer and gets progressively more exciting Game of thrones season 1 bombards you with a bunch of names, places and characters. Upon a rewatch youll realize its one of the best seasons youll ever watch, especially with a handful of amazing characters you never see again. It is really hard to track for a first time watcher ...
