Shes basically perfect. We saw iron man and hulk work for years and have amazing education to be world leading scientists, shuri has advanced tech to work with her whole life, Riri is established as a prodigy. In iron man 2, Tony starl says itll take the world 10 years to make stuff like he does, and its 10 years later. There is precedent for Riri making a suit.

Cassie who we last saw was a kid, then a teen who grew up alone because of thanos. Now shes smart enough to casually make a device that communicates with quantum realm?

We saw ant man go through extensive training to use the suit. Cassie on the fly became almost as good as him

She also leads rebellions in another dimension and lectures her dad about not doing enough (guy who saved the universe)

Shes basically perfect

Marvel introduced a bunch of younger women recently: kate bishop, yelena (kind of young), america chavez, ms marvel, riri williams. Cassie is worse than all of them. For those other girls, they sort of earned whatever they accomplished (well Kate being an unenhanced in anyway college student who can beat up hordes of thugs is also a stretch).

This character sucks. Luckily for her, everyone else around her minus kang did in this movie

She was better in endgame, where she was around for 30 seconds and only said "dad"

Joke villains mowing down faceless nobodies is nothing new

Not really. It may have looked like that because they completely minimized Hope, probably because of her antivax shit. I expected Scott himself to take more of a backseat after Endgame with Hope having a bigger role.

Other than that, I don't see much difference from what is a very common trope. The child of the hero adapts faster and might even reach higher heights. It's been in comics for a long time and Gohan, Goten and Trunks are basically that, at least till AT said fuck that and made Goku and Vegeta invincible.

nah, they were just livin out their days on earth, scott comes back, says he was in the quantum realm and that its only been like a certain amount of time for him but 5 years out here, and bruce makes a machine(flawed, but he also says he didn't study that area of science, so it's still... very miraculous that he pushed time through Scott, which is also... extremely genious to casually do) and then Tony has a random epiphany while playing around with some models and makes the harness belt thing that lets them go through time.

And Cassie was established as working with the pre-eminent expert in that field.

Don't they outright establish that she was deep diving into Hank's research journals during the snap so she's been studying for several years? And Hank, Janet, and Hope are all implied to have been helping her, not just with the communicator but her suit as well.

This is a dumb and whiny post. There was no progression for cassie. Shes 18 and shes exceptional at everything. The other women Imentioned had rationale for why they are competent in the ways that they are

They directly stated that she had been studying Hank's tech at a very young age, and she isn't exceptional at everything. She had the suit, but still hasn't mastered everything, as directly shown in the movie.

Cassie's rationale for her competence was explained in the movie, you either missed it or you're ignoring it.

Just want to address something. Cassie came up with the idea for the 2-way radio but its very clear in the movie she didnt make it alone. Hank and Hope were big parts of making that beacon.

Hank had also made her a suit. We dont know how long shes had it and whether she practised with it. Just that she hasnt actively fought in it before
