Though I hadn't heard of either of them, the two movies were apparently released within a year or two of one another. They're very different plots though. One is a film about a bookworm getting revenge on dirt cops and the other is about a musician slowly becoming tempted with bloodlust. Bloodthirsty is better even if it's super obvious that neither woman is actually gay. ("Mmm... I love kissing your hair. I love kissing the air three inches away from your lips. Oooh, I'm so hot for your bangs right now.") Ginger Snaps teased that the protagonist was bisexual.
