No one fades after just 4 years like Chris Brown did LOL.

LOL literally none of his albums after the scandal have sold over 1 million in America. Whereas his first two both sold over 2 million individually. That's not normal trajectory at all.

Not Rihanna.
Not Adele.
Not Beyonce.

Not Miley Cyrus.
Not Justin Bieber.
Not The Weeknd.
Not Harry Styles.

Chris Brown had remained on the pop charts. He got to #6 just two years removed from nearly killing Rihanna. Then he was invited to perform on fucking good morning america and he flipped out and trashed the place, and he still kept making hits. Just not number one hits

Id even argue this whole shit helps him at this point, because he can keep pushing this narrative that hes being treated unfairly by an industry that has had his back every step of the way, even after the number of violent incidents he was involved in kept growing.

EDIT: also all but his most recent album released since 2010 are certified platinum. FAME (2011) is triple platinum and X and Heartbreak.. are double platinum

And not only has Chris Brown had just 6 top ten hits in the 14 years since the scandal, but most of them rely heavily on featured artists.

"Look at Me Now" prominently features Lil Wayne and Busta Rhymes. It's universally agreed that their verses blew his straight out of the water because he sucks at rapping.
"Loyal" prominently features Lil Wayne and French Montana or Too Short depending on what version you're listening to.
"No Guidance" prominently features Drake.
"Go Crazy" prominently features Young Thug.

Clearly he needs to ride other people's coattails to make hits.

It took many years for Katy Perry to fall off.

Compare Rihanna's career post 2009 to Chris Brown's career post 2009 and tell me he didn't fall off.
