Noumas 02/12/23 9:32:54 PM #1:	Liam Cunningham added so much to the character, he's pretty much the only reason why I like the character. In the books I was completely disinterested in how Davos was borderline in love with his lord king Stannis and how he'd follow him to the ends of the earth even despite some misgivings. But show davos was great and extremely likable. They did a good decision having the person who teaches him to read be Stannis daughter. They fucked him up by having him compromise his principles and burn his daughter. I'd even say that having him enthusiastically fuck Melisandre was a mistake. Stannis in the book is interesting because he's all duty. It's only implied that he banged Melisandre to make the shadow baby and it's very easy to imagine him begrudgingly doing it.
