Yes, i no-lifed Hogwarts. I took some time off work(3 days, i have over 30 vacation days and 3 admin leave days) to play it and damnit that's what i was gonna do.

nobody wants to read a wall o text so i'll give a short summary

Forspoken: I played the demo, the only thing I liked was the combat. I was one of the naysayers pre-release saying the game would be ass. After playing it(I got it for like $50 on PC) the combat is still easily the best part of it, and story is a mess. They even just throw a ton of exposition at the end after the big twist happens instead of having properly built up everything. It's fun as a turn your brain off kind of game and do cool stuff but it does deserve it's 6-7/10 ratings and anyone calling it anything higher probably doesn't play a lot of games. It's definitely overhated though it's just...average I guess. I don't hate the protagonist but some of the dialogue is definitely cringey and i live right next to NY so i'm used to her slang, but the other dialogue is.

Hogwarts Legacy: It's a 6 out of 10 RPG with a harry potter skin so that automatically bumps it up 2 points for me to an 8. If you removed the harry potter/magic skin it's just an RPG you've played time and time again, but what they do with the harry potter license is very cool and decently creative. You definitely start to see some cut and paste(mission structure for the most part is go into cave/ruin, fight spiders/goblins, fight miniboss, quest over) and damn near every cave/ruin looks the fucking same i was honestly starting to get tired of it by the time i got close to the end. But the combat is cool too and I love using the unforgiveable curses.

I put 30 hours in according to in game save, 48 according to steam playtime(I must have done a lot of afking lol)
I was level 33ish when I finished the main story and had already learned Avada Kedavra, i'd say I've done most of the side content, just missing the finale to one of the relationship quests now because it just hasn't popped up yet really. I even got most of the demiguise moons, enough to find the culprit and get alohomara level 3. I was massively overleveled for the main story as my level seemed to always be at least 10 levels above it lol

hogwarts stuttered like shit for me on my RTX 3060/Ryzen 5 3600 until i did the thing to turn off CFG or whatever. Forspoken ran like shit in Cipal but outside of that it was fine. They both seem to have some framepacing issues but otherwise it was very playable. They've both crashed once on me

I like both games combat don't get me wrong, but hogwarts would be way too chaotic with forspoken combat

She would easily dominate everyone in combat, but she wouldn't know the magic spells required to do random stuff, unless we just assume she will have knowledge of stuff like lumos, or that the puzzles simply wouldn't exist, but i imagine she couldn't resist avada kadavra or crucio

You fill your ancient magic meter by attacking enemies and theres cooldowns on spells but otherwise no. I assume this was about Hogwarts

Nah if you don't like her in the beginning you won't like her at the end, that's just how she is. The gear is basically just cloaks/necklaces that you can upgarde or add stats to, don't come in expecting a full blorn gear management system lol.

and yeah i played the original dead space. i'm on chapter 8 now. game is starting to wear out its welcome a little bit and i haven't even been playing it nonstop lol like oh boy a door, i sure hope there won't be a necromorph on the other side of it! oh wait.
