I went as a kid because my dad lived there.

It was interesting. People were selling a lot of things (many handmade). Someone was selling fake Yu-Gi-Oh! cards and my dad bought them for me. Several performers asking for tips as well.

I do remember bodybuilders and people working out.

It's alright. Me and my lady sometimes walk from MDR to Venice on weekends. You can see a bit of everything from Rastafarian rollerbladers, to up and coming performers to toplessness to celebs. My guilty pleasure was Jody Maroni's but that's gone now.

I live in Los Angeles, so I've been plenty of times. There are people that workout there, but that's really just a small part of the beach.

On weekends with good weather, it's almost like a street fair. There's lots of vendors selling various things, music, street performers and crowds of people.

My favorite thing to do is to rent a bike and ride the bike path from Marina del Rey > Venice > Santa Monica > Will Rogers. It's about 6 miles of path right next to the sand
