I played the tutorial/prologue section of the first one, and I don't really get this game. Is it supposed to be more of a horror version of Metroid? Because the game is really slow-paced and there were a lot of logs and backstory to read like in Resident Evil, and it seemed like they were going for a really creepy atmosphere. The combat was pretty boring as it seemed like you mostly just lock on and have a million hit points, so I really wasn't able to enjoy it on that level. ... Copied to Clipboard!

The idea was that you're exploring a planet by yourself, and since you're behind the visor for the first time, they wanted to express that feeling of solitude. I would imagine they got the idea of log book stuff from Resident Evil or something similar. Combat's pretty easy at first.
