We're having a good hour long conversation on her Instagram after she told me to add her there from a dating site. We plan a date. Then I look on my Instagram and she blocked me.... why can't people just be honest and say they don't wanna go out? Or they're not interested? Everyone is so dishonest

My wife and I were just discussing hypothetical what it would be like trying to date in this age and we both agreed the stress probably isn't worth it. I wouldn't even know where to start or what to expect other than what I read online about people's experiences

Unfortunately, that happens sometimes, I wouldn't dwell on it. I had 2 women unmatch the day before the date (even though they were talking about how excited they were) and had 2 others, ghost after 1 or 2 dates. I just saw it as, if they were actually worth my time, they would have stuck around.

Despite the ups and downs, I still met my girlfriend through online dating and she's amazing. So keep at it and I'm sure you'll meet some great women too.

Yea on this era of chronically online people, it's far better to just not get attached too quickly even on a surface level. Sure, it's a shot to the ego but at least she didn't waste any more of your time.

Women get flooded with messages on dating sites. A friend showed me hers one time.
She may have gotten interest from someone else that she sees as more compatible.

Easier to block you than her actually admit that. You dodged a bullet...she's most likely a coward

This is why I always use a secondary account for interaction.

Nobody blocks the main.

I don't understand people myself. I'm friends with a coworker and after work we usually take the same train for like 30 minutes until I get off my stop so we usually talk a lot during this time. One time I remember that she had a lot of extra bags on her and was struggling carrying all that stuff so I offered to help her out and out of nowhere she went on a small rant about how she doesn't trust guys at all and refused to let me help her. So I dropped the issue and let her do her thing, then during the train ride when we were talking about friendships and shit and she mentioned how I was one of her best friends. I just thought it was funny how she went to not trusting me to best friends within the span of 20 minutes

Some people are just weird regardless of what gender they are.

Hate when girls do that shit lol. Like, I legit dont dare anymore because it was too stressful for me, and any fun or happy times we had were WAY outdone by the stress and misery I felt after she decided to play games with me and drop me.

I know its not like that for everyone, and I hope that the people who are able to find good ones appreciate how lucky they are, but Ive had 100% crummy experiences.

She was using you as validation and texting buddy while she was bored/needing attention. Once she was done with that need, she blocked you.

I ghosted some chick who was talking to me on Reddit for a couple weeks. Just deleted my account and disappeared.

Why? IDK, I was just done and pulled the plug.

One of my friends told me that she will talk to several guys at once on dating apps and then pick whichever one she finds the most attractive and then stop talking to the others. It's honestly easier just to go to a bar and meet someone face to face.

Without knowing exactly what you were talking about and how the conversation went, it's kind of impossible to say what happened. Maybe the convo wasn't as good as you thought it was?
