I liked it. It wasnt the best game ever but I dont think it was awful.

The fact that they wasted so much effort making it a live service instead of just making a good single player game

The combat and characters were there, just needed more resources to emphasize those, adding more bosses and longer story, instead of dumb loot grind system

Yeah it was pretty pants I agree but the game was still pretty good despite this. I feel the argument is more the game isnt as good as it could have been rather than being a bad game in of itself.

The single player aspect had the longest intro/tutorial I think I've ever played. Here's running around as a kid section that's overly long, now here's how every avenger controls one at s time. Now here how Kamala can jump. Now here's how she can sneak. I never got any further than that because I just wanted to actually play something.

The online stuff was too repetitive, which could have been kind of good in theory but the progression system was so unrewarding. Gear was irrelevant before you max out your level and it took forever to get to that.

It was boring and none of the heroes felt unique or powerful because every single enemy was a multiplayer focused damage sponge

Other than the obvious gameplay issues it was a little offputting that they didn't splurge for the MCU likenesses coming off the success of Endgame. I remember lots of memes around the first announcement calling them off-brand Avengers

yes i know Avengers pre-date the MCU. Omg shut up.

I remember the issue being that it's like they wanted to use the likeness of the actors, but didn't want to pay the money, so they literally looked like off-brand MCU actors.
