Regardless of how pathetic of a product it is, I don't really think there is anything unreasonable about ceasing support for a game 2.5-3 years after launch.

I think shutting down servers for a game that new is a bad precedent and ending support on a game that sells itself on live service is even worse. Like how everyone was annoyed OW1 became unplayable for shitty OW2

Games like this and HotS that have such strong fan support even when they are no longer supporting the game should allow fans to add support to the game. With all the amazing things people do with mods they likely could run the games better than the corporations that only used the games as a cash cow.

I don't play live service games on principle. Finding the time to game is already hard enough, I'm not putting myself on a time limit for it.

I did get this one on the cheap and played through the story. Fun enough to finish but yeah the GaaS model ruined it.

You're gonna need to point it out to me because I see only the opposite.

This is the problem with any "Games as a Service" model. It has to be amazing from the outset, or else it won't maintain a player base long enough for the business model to really kick in. It doesn't matter if you have a long-term content plan if the initial launch content is bare-bones and fails to engross a dedicated player base.

I feel like too many publishers nowadays have lost track of the most important thing: The first priority should be to make the game fun to play. Monetization can come after that.

Somehow, indie games like Undertale, Vampire Survivors, Five Nights at Freddy's, Valheim, etc. have managed to make millions and millions of dollars because they focused on making the game fun for players above all else. No fancy monetization shit, no daily login incentives to force engagement metrics, none of that.

When fun, player-focused games get DLC and sequels, players show up to buy them because they loved the first game...I feel like there's not nearly enough emphasis on quality in the big-name publishing game anymore.

I know it isn't the fault of developers, because a developer wants the game to be as good as it can be--it's the publishing companies that put the time constraints and monetization demands into the mix.

When will companies learn? All these "games as a service" failures when all they need to do is look at Warframe's model for success. They're going on 10 years as of this march, 10 years ago this time I was playing the closed beta.

These bullshit cash grabs and consumer unfriendly monetization models don't work. The path to success has been established and currently exists but these idiotic companies refuse to copy the correct answers.

Where the fuck in any of that does it say the game is going to be delisted? Why the fuck would they delist it?

March 31st everything is free

The combat is pretty fun and I enjoy the characters

The live service aspect and the loot system sucks and adds nothing

It was not a fun game to play

You are correct.

The shitty things about this game is that the intro with Ms Marvel shows a bit of promise. If they stuck with that a good game could have happened.

But you quite quickly get to the boring ass open levels with boring ass objectives and the same enemies over and over and over again.

The enemy and boss design of this game seriously blows my mind with how boring they are.
